On my most recent trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland, I had the opportunity of meeting folks from all over the world. I also met two people from New Zealand who traveled separately to attend one of the Family History Conferences in Belfast. Why would someone travel half way around the world to attend a genealogy conference? Their goal at the conference was to find something new about their Irish ancestors. And when the conference was over the trip was a success!
