Late July and August is the time for ethnic festivals in North America. Milwaukee's Irish Fest is no exception. The four day event wrapped up on Sunday. It was a huge success with many Irish bands and thousands of visitors celebrating their Irish heritage! There were more than 100 entertainment acts on 17 stages!
I had the opportunity to spend a few hours in the genealogy tent with the Irish Genealogy Society International chatting with visitors about next year's Celtic Connections Conference which will be held 31 July to 1 August at the Weston Hotel in Wheeling, Illinois.
I did get a chance to roam around the festival grounds and take in all the excitement from this year's Fest! Here's a sample of the sights and sounds of this year's Irish Fest!
Oh by the way… Milwaukee Irish Fest 2020 will mark the 40th anniversary. Next year's Fest is scheduled for 13-16 of August!
